40 Walkers journey from Canterbury Cathedral to Southwark Cathedral, to raise awareness of homelessness on the 40th anniversary of Crisis. UK. I am one of the walkers.

Crisis at the crossroads.
Had the natives switched the road signs around? After a long discussion involving the merits of tossing a coin, it was decided to follow the carefully crafted written instructions we had been given, and to head towards the faint smell of lunch.

By now some very hardened Londoners were becoming extremely alarmed by the lack of Starbucks and tube stations. The weather deteriorated into a full on drizzle, with head winds of up to several miles an hour………it wasn’t looking good!

Several walkers reverted  to type and headed for the nearest underground, only to be persuaded out by urgent phone calls from Walk Control..
